Band camp is one of the most memorable parts of the marching season. It’s where students come together to make friends, build traditions, and start learning the show. Students grow in confidence, teamwork, and spirit and by the end of camp, they’ve not only learned the foundation of the show but also created memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
The marching band performs during halftime at all home football games and energizes the crowd by supporting the football team with spirited stand tunes at away games. The band also participates in the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rallies.
The Band of Chiefs participate in 3 local competitions and the CCSD Marching Exhibition per year. Competitions bring together bands from across the region to showcase their music, drill, and performance skills. Each band presents their field show in front of a panel of judges who evaluate musical performance, visual execution, general effect, and overall artistry. Beyond the scores, competitions build teamwork, school pride, and lasting memories as students share their hard work and dedication with a broader audience.
