The ensemble often performs a diverse repertoire, spanning classical works, contemporary compositions, and innovative arrangements that highlight creativity and artistry. This ensemble meets on Friday mornings before school during spring semester and performs in the chamber concert. There is a $25 ensemble fee.
Students in the steel drum ensemble learn essential musical skills including note reading, rhythmic accuracy, listening, and ensemble balance, all while developing a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration. Each player contributes a unique voice, from lead melody pans to bass and rhythm sections, creating a full and energetic sound.
