Fundraising is essential to the success and growth of a high school music program. While school funding may provide a basic foundation, it is often not enough to support the full range of opportunities that make a music program truly enriching.
We have several fundraisers throughout the year, such as:
Taste of Sequoyah - Our annual community fundraiser featuring food from local restaurants, food trucks and live student music.
Silent Auction - As part of Taste of Sequoyah, we host a silent auction of themed gift baskets and local goods and services.
Jeep Wrangler Raffle - An annual event, hosted by Shottenkirk Canton, where the proceeds of all ticket sales goes directly back into the music program.
Alma Coffee sales - In partnership with Holly Springs' own Alma Coffee, this fundraiser offers students and families the opportunity to sell premium, ethically sourced coffee that appeals to the coffee lovers in our lives.
Spring car washes - A fundraising car wash is a fun, hands-on way for students to support their music program while engaging with the community. During the event, students work together to wash, dry, and detail cars for donations, creating a visible and energetic atmosphere that draws in supporters and raises awareness for the program.
Funds from charitable donations are used to support a wide range of program needs. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact and helps ensure the continued strength and success of the band program for years to come.
We have a program wish list of items that would greatly enhance our students’ learning and performance experiences. If you are interested in contributing toward any of these needs, we would be deeply grateful for your support. Please contact our fundraising team at fundraising@sequoyahmusic.org for more information on how you can help. Charitable donations are tax-deductible if made to SIMF and we provide a written receipt for any single gift of $250 or more.
A needs-based scholarship is a form of financial assistance designed to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in a program regardless of their financial situation. Needs-based scholarships are often funded through donations, fundraising efforts, and community support. These contributions directly impact students by helping cover fees, supplies, and enrichment opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach. Donations to needs-based, 501(c)(3) scholarship funds provide tax-deductible support for student education. Please note that the IRS prohibits earmarking donations for specific students or donor relatives.
If you are interested in contributing towards a scholarship, please contact us at fundraising@sequoyahmusic.org.
Support the Sequoyah Music Program by becoming a valued sponsor and gain meaningful visibility within our community. Your sponsorship directly supports student musicians, helping fund instruments, equipment, travel, and performance opportunities while showcasing your business as a proud champion of our program. If you are interested in sponsoring us, please contact us at fundraising@sequoyahmusic.org.
Support our students by contributing to our Amazon Wish List—an easy and impactful way to keep our band fueled and prepared, especially during the long, high-energy days of band camp in July. Items like snacks, drinks, and essential supplies help keep students hydrated, focused, and ready to perform at their best. This list is updated as needs arise. 🔗 Wish List
